Durgin Pines Preschool
Play. Learn. Grow.
Reggio Emelia Inspired
Our Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool encourages children to explore, create, and learn through hands-on experiences and collaborative projects. Teachers support and guide each child's natural curiosity, while the environment fosters creativity and self-expression. We emphasize partnerships with families and aim to inspire a lifelong love of learning in a respectful, engaging setting.
Benefits of Outdoor Play
At During Pines Preschool, outdoor play is a core part of our program, offering children numerous benefits. It promotes physical health, improves motor skills, and fosters a sense of independence. Nature-based activities also enhance creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, while allowing children to connect with the environment. Outdoor play supports emotional well-being by reducing stress and encouraging exploration, helping children develop resilience and confidence in a natural, stimulating setting.
Pre-School
In our Pre-K program, children are equipped with the foundational knowledge and skills needed for a smooth transition to elementary school. Our comprehensive curriculum nurtures their independence and critical thinking abilities.
Inter-Generational
Durgin Pines Preschool provides a unique opportunity for children to interact with the elderly residents of Durgin Pines Nursing Home. These intergenerational connections enrich the lives of both the children and the seniors, fostering empathy, respect, and meaningful relationships.
